Live Coverage of Legislature’s Department of Correctional Services Special Investigative Committee Hearing on NET2 World

LINCOLN, Neb. (Aug. 5, 2014) -- NET Television will broadcast live the Nebraska Legislature’s Department of Correctional Services Special Investigative Committee public hearing addressing recent incidents within the state’s corrections department.

The hearing will be broadcast live Friday, Aug. 8, beginning at 9 a.m. CT on NET2 World, as well as streamed live on the NET website, netNebraska.org.  Among the issues expected to be discussed will be the miscalculation of prison sentences, resulting in the release of inmates earlier than they should have been. Former state corrections director Bob Houston will appear during the hearing.
