About this event
Please add our public library's next event to your calendar. The Broadwater Public Library will host two presentations entitled "Where Did All This Sand Come From?" Have you ever wondered why we have all of this sand from the Sandhills and in our yards, fields, pastures, and rugs when we are more than a thousand miles from an ocean? Michael Younger, a geologist who studied at the University of Northern Colorado and who researched the rock formations that make up Pawnee Buttes, Courthouse and Jail Rocks, Scott's Bluff, and the Badlands will offer two presentations, one for children on July 12 at 10:00 AM and one for high school students and adults on July 15 at 7:00 PM. After each presentation Mr Younger will take questions. The public is invited to attend either or both presentations. The event is free. The presentations will be at the Broadwater Public Library, 251 N Starr St, Broadwater, NE.
