About this event
Trenchant C’s to Perform at the Moonstone Bookstore IN RED CLOUD The Moonstone Bookstore and Emporium in Red Cloud Nebraska is pleased to announce that it will be hosting the musical duo of Trenchant C’s on Friday, July 27, 2018. The musical program will begin at 7:00 p.m. The program is free of charge and open to the public. The Moonstone will be offering a 10% discount on any item purchased that evening. This event is part of the bookstore’s ongoing A Conversation With . . . lecture series. Trenchant C’s, a local duo; consisting of Charles Mantis and Carmi, are delving into the acoustic realm with a rock-styled foundation. The two have been playing together acoustically since August of 2017. Amidst the acoustic meshing, the two decided to form a rock band titled Execrable Sound. The duo decided to take it back to their roots. They formed a sound that is a blend of rock, folk, and country and exposed it to the most intimate style of music, acoustic. Charles Mantis has been playing professionally for fifteen years. His style is derived from many different genres. Country, from his family, to punk rock from his city roots. He has played and performed as a singer/songwriter/guitarist in front of many crowds and has a true love for his art. Carmi derived from a musically inclined family; therefore, a passion for the arts developed at a young age. She began her vocal journey starting at the age of four. During this journey, she has experimented with various vocal stylings, which has contributed to a vast range and an optimal quality that ranges in expression. The Moonstone Bookstore and Emporium is located at 345 Webster Street in Red Cloud and opened on Memorial Day weekend in 2018.
