You are invited to hear the concert debut of the newly founded Lincoln Chamber Society on December 3, 7:30pm at the St. Paul United Methodist Church. The group will perform several chamber arrangements of standard orchestral repertoire including Debussy's Prélude à l'après-midi d'un faune, Mahler's Lieder eines fahrenden Gesllen, and Johann Strauss's Kaiserwalzer. Pre-concert lecture given by conductor Rebecca Nederhiser will take place at 7pm to give a brief history of Schoenberg's Society for Private Musical Performances, the source of these arrangements. Concert is free, with a suggested donation of $5.
