Experience the magic of the Nebraska Chautauqua, Free Land? 1862 and the Shaping of Modern America, June 26-30 in Grand Island. The "Free Land" Chautauqua is presented by Humanities Nebraska in partnership with the Grand Island Community Foundation and Stuhr Museum of the Prairie Pioneer with support from the National Endowment for the Humanities, Nebraska Cultural Endowment, Union Pacific, and many other generous contributors. Enjoy first-person portrayals of historical figures each evening in Railroad Town at Stuhr Museum with daily workshops for adults and youth at the Grand Island Public Library.
