Experience the magic of the Nebraska Chautauqua, Free Land? 1862 and the Shaping of Modern America, June 19-23 in Downtown Papillion. The "Free Land" Chautauqua is presented by Humanities Nebraska in partnership with the City of Papillion and the Papillion Area Historical Society with support from the National Endowment for the Humanities, Nebraska Cultural Endowment, Union Pacific, First Lutheran Church-Papillion, Midlands Community Foundation, and many other generous contributors. Enjoy first-person portrayals of historical figures each evening with daily workshops for adults and youth. A preview event "Meet the Chautauquans" will be held at 4th & Washington (84th) Streets on June 18. All events are free and open to the public & located in downtown Papillion.
