About this event
The Lincoln Youth Symphony will present a program of some of the most famous music ever composed for orchestra on Sunday, Nov. 4th, at 3 PM in the auditorium of Lincoln Southwest High School. Schubert's Unfinished Symphony and Rossini's iconic William Tell Overture headline the concert. Each of the Youth Symphony's concerts this year features a senior chosen by audition to be a soloist, and this concert's Senior Soloist is violinist Elyssa Post. Miss Post, a student at Southeast High School, will perform the beautiful second movement of Bruch's well-known Violin Concerto No. 1. The Lincoln Youth Symphony, in its 62nd consecutive season, is sponsored by Lincoln Public Schools. The concert is free and open to the public. Free will donations are appreciated to support the ongoing operations of the LYS.
