Lincoln Civic Orchestra presents an Afternoon with Antonín Dvořák Featuring Symphony from a New World Nebraska Wesleyan University, O'Donnell Auditorium, 50th & Huntington Streets, Lincoln, NE Sun Nov 17 4pm PERFORMANCE IS FREE TO THE PUBLIC The Lincoln Civic Orchestra is a symphonic orchestra comprised of community musicians from around the Lincoln, Nebraska, area. Selections of the performance include: Slavonic Dance, op. 46, no. 8 (Furiant), and Symphony no. 9, op. 95, in E minor (From the New World) Formed in 1977 on the campus of Union College, the Lincoln Civic Orchestra became the resident orchestra at Nebraska Wesleyan University in 1987. The ensemble regularly performs on the Nebraska Wesleyan campus and travels to other communities with concert presentations.
