About this event
Description:
Join the editors and poets of “Nebraska Presence: An Anthology of Poetry,” the 2018 One Book One Nebraska selection, in the exploration and celebration of Nebraska’s history and people through poetry. Anthology poets will read from their work and answer questions about the joys and challenges of writing about our state. A Q & A session will follow the discussion. Edited by Greg Kosmicki and Mary K. Stillwell, Nebraska Presence includes poems by more than 80 contemporary Nebraska poets, including Pulitzer Prize winner and former Poet Laureate of the United States, Ted Kooser, Nebraska State Poet Twyla Hansen, former State Poet William Kloefkorn, and many others. This event is part of the Paul A. Olson Great Plains lecture series. All events are free and open to the public. Parking is usually available in the Que Place garage at 11th and Q streets.
