About this event
The Bess Streeter Aldrich House will host its Spring Banquet, honoring Mrs. Aldrich's book Mother Mason, on Saturday, April 6. There will be a social and vintage clothing exhibit at the Aldrich House from 5 to 6:15 p.m. A banquet will be served at the Elmwood Christian Church at 6:30 (311 5th Street). Following the banquet (approximately 7:15), Sue McLain, Yesterday's Lady, Beatrice, Nebraska, will give a program entitled, "A Century of Fashion: 1870 to 1970." As a Humanities Nebraska Speaker, Sue's program is free. Following Sue's program, the Bess Streeter Aldrich Short Story winners will be recognized. Individuals who want to participate in the meal functions (social and/or the banquet), should reserve $15 tickets by calling 867-4233 or emailing the director at by April 1.
