About this event
"Friendly Persuasion" is a 1956 Oscar nominated movie starring Gary Cooper, Dorthy McGuire and Anthony Perkins that tells the story of a Quaker family working to hold true to its pacifist beliefs during the American Civil War. It is family friendly and delightful while also presenting family struggles to maintain strong Christian belief in non-participation in the war. There is no charge for the event. The movie is being shown in conjunction with the "Voices of Conscience - Peace Witness in the Great War" traveling exhibit on display at the Henderson Mennonite Heritage Park and Museum July 13 - Sept 14 at the Henderson Mennonite Heritage Park and Museum in Henderson, NE.
