In honor of women's history month, the UNL East Campus Union presents an art exhibit of Nebraska artist Linda Stephen's origami and chigiri-e landscapes. What: See intricate contemporary, realistic art all made from paper - origami sculptures and layers of handmade Japanese papers. More than 20 scenes celebrate rural and urban life: prairies, farms, outdoor play, parks, ice skating, sailing, campus and more. Dates: March 1-31, 2017. Open 7 days a week when Nebraska East Union is open. Location: Loft Art Gallery, 3rd Floor, Nebraska East Student Union, East Campus, 1705 Arbor Drive, University of Nebraska-Lincoln, Lincoln, Nebraska About the artist: Fluent in Japanese, artist Linda Stephen studied and worked in Japan for more than six years. She exhibits and presents nationally and does commission work for clients across Japan, the U.S. and Europe. A public relations director for more than 15 years for multinational corporations, nonprofits and publishers, Linda is a professional artist experienced in partnering with organizations large and small.
