About this event
MAKE “NOTHING” Make “Nothing” is an exhibition of design proposals for the Art Chapel by graduate architecture students at UNL’s College of Architecture. The idea for the student project was conceived as a community art studio, the Art Chapel which will provide art programs for adults in the south of downtown neighborhoods, an economically depressed area with few cultural outlets. Student projects are gathered under the theme of Make “Nothing” and explore architecture’s ability to disarm the viewer through apparent simplicity. Art Chapel will be developed through the design-build process of academic and community-driven collaboration and coordinated through PLAIN-FACT by CoA faculty Jason Griffiths and Jeffery L. Day. The project is conceived for construction 2020-2021 and funded through private donors and grants. 1. Opening: Nov 1, 2019 at 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM 2. Address: 1302 F Street 3. Refreshments provided
