Members of the Lincoln Artists’ Guild will present their best work of the year at the fall juried show in November. Nine prizes including the James Ray Award and the Clarisse Hastie Award will be given. The judge is artist Julia Noyes.
A People’s Choice Award will be given to the artist with the most votes by the public. Come see the show, and vote for your favorite artwork!
The Clarisse Hastie Award is from a memorial for Clarisse Hastie, who died in August 2012. Born in Northern France, Hastie enjoyed “the good life” in Lincoln where she was an active artist – teaching and exhibiting at the Lincoln Arts Festival and elsewhere. About the Lincoln Artists’ Guild
The Lincoln Artists’ Guild (LAG) is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization that was established in 1920. LAG’s mission is to educate, promote, and encourage artists’ development at all levels. The organization provides educational opportunities, workshops, lectures, local and regional art shows, and more.
Local Lincoln businesses have supported LAG by generously donating space for meetings, and for exhibiting artwork. Thanks to this support, we have been able to grow and provide a forum for visual arts at a grassroots level for the community and surrounding areas.
Regular program meetings are held the 1st Tuesday of each month from 7-9 p.m. Meetings are held at the Capital City Christian Church, 7800 Holdrege Street, Lincoln, NE 68505.
