About this event
Description:
Artist Chuck Schroeder has had “a checkered career!” From ranching, roping, judging livestock shows and raising good horses, to leadership positions in politics, industry, art, Western culture and higher education, he has engaged with people from U.S. Presidents and CEO’s to cowboys, scientists, artists and guitar pickers from around the world. His life is now focused on creating a legacy of drawings and paintings reflecting his respect for those people and places whose character, ground and honed over time, can provide guidance and inspiration for generations to come. “Thank you for capturing, through your paintings, the respect and greatness of each individual you paint. As you said, they came from a different era, but it was truly a special time that defined a generation true to the American dream. They taught us how to achieve our maximum potential and that we can change the trajectory of generations to follow. They taught us to realize what the heritage of the American West is, and what it signifies. For that I’m truly grateful.” Karla Maddux- Leffingwell “What I respond to most about your work is how you seem to capture the real person, Chuck. You are sailing along  . . .”  Sherrie McGraw ** Bonus - live music from Prairie Psycho
