LUX Center for the Arts presents “Mug Shots: 6th Annual Juried Cup Show,” featuring the selections of juror Ted Adler, associate professor of art and area head of ceramics media at Wichita State University. Adler is known for his contributions to conferences, workshops and print media as well as his residency with the Archie Bray Foundation, the international center for ceramic arts in Helena, Montana.
The show opens Friday, April 4 from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Best in Show and two Honorable Mentions will be awarded. The show will be on view through May 31, 2014.

The exhibition “Generation: Ceramic Art & the UNL Legacy 1999-2013” continues on display in the LUX Center’s West Gallery through April 26, 2014. “Generation” curated by Gail Kendall, emeritus professor of art at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, features 14 of Kendall’s former MFA students--each one a working artist in ceramics today.
LUX Center for the Arts is free and open to the public. Hours: Tuesday through Friday, 11a.m. to 5 p.m., Saturdays, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. First Friday of each month, 11a.m. to 8 p.m. Free parking is available on the west side of the building located in historic University Place at 2601 N. 48th Street.
