About this event
Description:
A new exhibit, At a Crossroads: The Political Future of Chuck Hagel, opens September 10, 2018 and runs through December 21, 2018, on the lower level of UNO's Criss Library. Learn about the political future that was facing Chuck Hagel in 2007 in a new exhibit from Archives & Special Collections’ U.S. Senator Chuck Hagel Archives. Letters, photographs, newspaper clippings, and memorabilia trace Senator Hagel’s path from early in his first term and involvement in the 2000 presidential election, through the years of speculation about his presidential ambitions, and finally to his momentous career decisions in 2007 and retirement the following year. The exhibit was curated by Hagel Archivist Lori Schwartz and Archives & Special Collections Associate Kelly Walker from the Hagel Archives. At a Crossroads: The Political Future of Chuck Hagel, opens September 10, 2018 and runs through December 21, 2018, on the lower level of Criss Library. Hear stories about Hagel's political career and behind-the-scenes details of items in the exhibit and in the Hagel Archives. No RSVP necessary. Archives and Special Collections is open Monday-Friday from 8 A.M. - 5 P.M. and by request.
