Big Red Wrap-Up 2013

News Release Date:
August 19, 2013

When Coach Bo Pelini and the Husker football team open the 2013 season, NET Television’s popular series “Big Red Wrap-Up” will be right there to keep Nebraska fans updated on all of the Huskers’ gridiron action and news.

As the only live, viewer call-in Husker sports program in Nebraska, “Big Red Wrap-Up” returns for another season of analysis and highlights of Husker football games, plus recruiting insights and special guests.

Hosted by Kevin Kugler with analysis from former Huskers Adrian Fiala and Blake Lawrence, “Big Red Wrap-Up” airs live each Tuesday at 7 p.m. and again at 11 p.m. CT, on NET1 and NET-HD, beginning with a pre-season special on Aug. 27. Each week, HuskerOnline’s Sean Callahan will report on the latest recruiting news. Special guest for the premiere “Big Red Wrap-Up” on Aug. 27 will be Jeff Jamrog, Husker assistant athletic director for football.

“Big Red Wrap-Up” offers an overview of the previous week’s Husker football game, including video highlights and a look ahead to the next game.  Popular segments “Husker History” and “Huskers Up Close” -- an interview with a current Husker player -- both return.

New segments this season include a behind the scenes look at different areas of Husker football, such as strength and conditioning, nutrition, physical training and equipment management; and “InjuReplay,” a report on sports injuries, how and why they happen and the therapy needed for rehabilitation and recovery time.

Viewers can submit questions to the series hosts and their guests by phone and e-mail, as well as by using Facebook and Twitter.  “The Prediction”, an exclusive feature of the NET Sports website (netNebraska.org/bigredwrapup), returns with Kugler, Fiala and Lawrence giving their thoughts and predictions about the next Husker game.

“Big Red Wrap-Up” will be webcast live in Flash on NET’s website (netNebraska.org). Webcasting of the series is a free service of NET.

“Big Red Wrap-Up” is a production of NET Sports for broadcast on NET Television.  NET1 and NET-HD are part of NET Television, a service of NET. For a complete program schedule, visit NET’s website (netNebraska.org/television).
