High School All-Star Basketball and Volleyball

 Whether basketball or volleyball is your favorite high school sport, or if they both are, NET Television viewers will have the opportunity to indulge in watching both activities when “Nebraska All-Star High School Girls and Boys Basketball” and “Nebraska All-Star High School Volleyball” are broadcast statewide.

From all corners of Nebraska, the best high school basketball and volleyball players from the senior class of 2013 face-off respectively in the state’s annual all-star basketball and volleyball competitions on Monday, July 22, and Tuesday, July 23, airing live on NET1 and NET-HD.

“Nebraska All-Star High School Girls Basketball” airs at 6 p.m. CT on Monday, July 22, followed by the “Nebraska All-Star High School Boys Basketball” contest at 8 p.m. CT.  Then, on Tuesday, July 23, at 7 p.m. CT, get ready for all the spikes, blocks and kills of “Nebraska All-Star High School Volleyball.”

Telecast from the gymnasium of Lincoln’s North Star High School, sports announcer Larry Punteney will call the basketball action, with former Creighton Bluejay standout Nick Bahe offering color commentary for both the girls’ and boys’ match-ups.Punteney and former Nebraska volleyball All American Kathi Wieskamp team up on Tuesday to call the action for the volleyball competition from the same location.

The all-star basketball and volleyball competitionswill be webcast live in Flash on NET’s website (netNebraska.org). Webcasting of the series is a free service of NET.
