Best of “Nebraska Stories”
During the month of June viewers can revisit some of the best segments from this season’s “Nebraska Stories” series. This “best of” broadcast of the NET Television video journal about the people, places and history that make Nebraska unique airs Friday, June 21, at 7 p.m. CT on NET1 and NET-HD.
In this episode, “Nebraska Stories” travels to Morse Bluff in Saunders County to meet Nadine Racek who demonstrates how she earned the title of “Kolache Queen.” Also featured is Omaha artist Mary Mitchell whose hand-drawn fashion illustrations show the beauty of fabric and design.
Then visit Nebraska City’s Kregel Windmill Factory -- a dust-covered time capsule; follow Lakota writer Joseph Marshall as he shows young Natives how to use a traditional handmade bow; and enjoy the music of the masters thanks to a second chance for musician Larry Siegler and his friendship with Jason DeWater of the Omaha Symphony.
This “Nebraska Stories” episode will repeat on NET1/HD on Sunday, June 23, at noon and 10:30 p.m. CT; and Tuesday, June 25, at 11 p.m. CT. NET2 World will air this “Nebraska Stories” program on Friday, June 21, at 8 p.m. CT; Saturday, June 22, at 1:30 p.m. CT; and Sunday, June 23, at 8 a.m. and 8:30 p.m. CT.
