Drilling Companies Hope Fracking 'Truce' Will Ease Relationship With Environmentalists

Several big fossil fuel companies — including Shell and Chevron — appear to be making a truce with environmentalists and are agreeing to go through a rigorous independent review to have their drilling practices in the Northeast certified as safe.
