Edvard Munch's "The Scream" (1895) goes on display at the Museum of Modern Art in New York for a six-month exhibition. This pastel-on-board version sold for nearly $120 million at Sotheby's auction house in May and is the only one remaining in private hands; the three other versions are in museum collections in Norway. It is being lent by a private collector. Photo by Spencer Platt/Getty Images.
