‘Omaha Maverick Hockey’ Live on NET in January

LINCOLN, Neb. (Jan. 2, 2018) – NET, Nebraska’s PBS & NPR Stations, will feature two “Omaha Maverick Hockey” contests in January.

The Omaha Mavericks welcome Miami of Ohio to the Baxter Arena ice for a live conference match-up starting at 7 p.m. CT, Friday, Jan. 12 on NET.

On Jan. 26, Western Michigan comes to Omaha for another live conference match-up starting at 7 p.m. CT on NET.

Calling the live action for both games will be Dave Ahlers, UNO assistant athletic director with color commentary provided by David Brisson, former UNO hockey standout. Larry Punteney will provide rink-side reports.

All “Omaha Maverick Hockey” matches will be streamed live at netNebraska.org or on the NET App. “Omaha Maverick Hockey” is a production of NET Sports.
