NET Plans “NSAA Girls Soccer Championship” Webcast Tonight

LINCOLN, Neb. (May 17, 2017) – Weather permitting tonight, NET Sports will provide a live webcast of the 2017 “NSAA Girls Soccer Championship” games at Morrison Stadium at Creighton University in Omaha. The webcast will include both the Class B game at 5 p.m. CT and the Class A game at 7:30 p.m. CT.

The webcast will be available at netNebraska.org and on the NET Nebraska mobile app.

Both games were scheduled for broadcast on NET on Tuesday, May 16, but were cancelled by the NSAA due to inclement weather and rescheduled for Wednesday, May 17.

“NET was in Omaha prepared to cover the girls’ soccer championships on Tuesday, May 16. Unfortunately, when bad weather forced cancellation, NET was unable to reallocate our production, equipment and staffing resources to accommodate the new broadcast date on such short notice. It was not NET’s decision to reschedule the games to tonight,” said Joe Turco, NET Sports Executive Producer.

“We realize these games are important to soccer fans across the state, so NET is offering tonight’s web stream as an alternative for our viewers,” Turco added.

In the event the games are cancelled due to predicted inclement weather again this evening, NET will once again evaluate the possibility of providing a live webcast for the rescheduled games.
