NET to Broadcast Nebraska Music Education Association All-State Concerts

LINCOLN, Neb. (Aug. 3, 2018) – Nebraska’s most talented high school musicians and vocalists will be featured in two upcoming television specials on NET, Nebraska’s PBS & NPR Stations.

The “2017 Nebraska All-State Instrumental Concert Special” features selections from the All-State Orchestra, All State Band and Master Jazz Band performances. The concert airs at Noon CT, Sunday, Aug. 19 on NET World.

The “2017 Nebraska All-State Vocal Concert Special” features selections from the All-State Chorus and Children’s Choir performances. It airs at Noon CT, Sunday, Aug. 26 on NET World.

Each year, the Nebraska Music Education Association (NMEA) provides an opportunity for high school students to participate in an all-state honor ensemble. They gather in Lincoln for the NMEA All-State Conference each November to rehearse together and perform at the Lied Center.
