Baseball on NET Heats Up This Spring

LINCOLN, Neb. (March 24, 2017) – Catch Nebraska, Creighton and University of Nebraska Omaha baseball action this spring when “Nebraska Baseball” and “Creighton Baseball” air on NET.

The first game of “Nebraska Baseball” will air at 6:30 p.m. CT, Friday, April 7, live from Hawks Field in Lincoln when the Nebraska Cornhuskers take on their Big Ten foe, the Maryland Terrapins. Calling the play-by-play action will be sportscaster Larry Punteney with Jeff Leise, former Husker baseball player, providing color commentary.

NET Sports will feature “Creighton Baseball” at 6:30 p.m. CT, Tuesday, April 18, on NET when the Creighton Bluejays take on the Nebraska Cornhuskers live from TD Ameritrade Park in Omaha. Calling the play-by-play action will be Kevin Kugler with color commentary provided by sportscaster John Bishop.

“Creighton Baseball” will also be broadcast live on NET at 7 p.m. CT, Friday, April 21 when the Bluejays take on Villanova. Bishop and Punteney will call these games live from TD Ameritrade Park.

Fans can also watch “Creighton Baseball” live online at netNebraska.org and on the NET Nebraska App.

Rounding out the month will be more “Nebraska Baseball” when the Cornhuskers take on the Omaha Mavericks, starting with the first pitch at 6:30 p.m. CT, Tuesday, April 25, on NET. Kugler and Leise will call these games live from Hawks Field in Lincoln.
