Lincoln, Neb. (April 21, 2017) – The 35th season of FRONTLINE -- public television’s flagship public affairs series since 1983 -- brings four new incisive documentaries which cover the complexity of the human experience to NET television in May.

“Second Chance Kids” airs 9 p.m. CT, Tuesday, May 2 and covers the fate of juveniles in prison for murder, following a landmark Supreme Court ruling. It also examines the impact of the order to re-evaluate thousands of juvenile murder cases and follows two of the first convicts to be released.

“Poverty, Politics and Profit” airs 9 p.m. CT, Tuesday, May 9 and investigates the billions of dollars spent on housing the poor and why so few get the help they need. In partnership with NPR, the film examines the politics, profits and problems of an affordable housing system in crisis.

“American Patriot” airs 10 p.m. CT, Wednesday, May 17 and goes inside the violent battle between a ranching family in the West and the federal government. It examines how a simmering fight over land in Nevada and Oregon became deadly and invigorated a wider right-wing anti-government movement.

“Bannon’s War” airs 9 p.m. CT, Tuesday, May 23 and examines President Trump advisor Stephen Bannon’s war with radical Islam, Washington and White House rivals. The film uncovers his fight to deliver on Trump’s promises with a confrontational style based on his personal crusade to dramatically transform America.
