This Nebraska Stories vignette is an excerpt from the 2007 production "Afghan Journey." It follows Lincoln Journal Star reporter Matthew Hansen and photographer Dior Azcuy as they travel to Kabul in October 2005 to explore the connections between Nebraska and Afghanistan for the newspaper. Along the way, they form a life-long friendship with their interpreter, Afghan reporter Farhad Peikar.
