On the January 31st program Genevieve Randall previews two concerts, some art shows, a band tour, two plays, and more. "A Symphonic Valentine," is the next concert by Lincoln's Symphony Orchestra at the Lied Center on February 1st. Conductor Ed Polochick and Miller-Porfiris Duo member s Anton Miller and Rita Porfiris tell us all about the concert. Artist Bri Murphy talks about her collection of sculptures called "Internal Exposure," which are mostly based on MRIs of her internal organs. Kwakiutl Dreher previews her one-woman show "In A Smoke Filled Room, Color Matters" opening in Lincoln. Duane Bierman, UNK Director of Bands, tells us about the UNK Wind Ensemble's tour of three states. Photographer Ben Bird has a new show at Flowing Stone Gallery in Beatrice the weekend of February 7th. The last Shakespearience with Stephen Buhler. Also, Bill Grennan from KVNO in Omaha tells us about an original play adapting the classic Hans Christan Andersen stories of the little mermaid and the grocer's goblin using actors and Bunraku puppetry playing next week at The Rose in Omaha. And, Dick Morris tells us all about the First Friday Concert at St. Paul United Methodist Church in Lincoln on February 7th.
