Sen. Galen Hadley of Kearney has been at the center of the storm recently. Hadley's chairman of the Nebraska Legislature's Revenue Committee, which held hearings last week on Gov. Dave Heineman's tax proposals. Those proposals would abolish or reduce the state's corporate and personal income taxes, by ending many sales tax exemptions for manufacturers, farmers and others.
