Kill County is an American Music band that formed in Lincoln in 2007. The band combines elements of country, old-time and folk music with powerful vocals and somber themes.
While the members of Kill County were all born and raised in Nebraska, three of them now live out of state. Josh James (lead vocals, guitar) & Jon Augustine (bass) contribute from Austin, TX while bandmate, Ringo (guitar, banjo, vocals) rings in from Ann Arbor, MI. The other band members, Joe Salvati (dobro, steel guitar) and Brad Kindler (drums) both reside in Lincoln, making one of the hardest challenges for this band simply getting together.
The gritty, raw, emotional presentation is Nebraska full on. It's clear that the members of this band are connected to their state and it comes out in their music.
