[March 19, 2004] – Petition circulators hit the streets in March, seeking signatures for a multi-part gambling initiative. State senators continue to work behind the scenes on their own plan to give Nebraskans a vote on expanded gambling. Meanwhile, opponents say the social cost will be much high than any economic benefit. "Statewide" examines the issue for expanded gambling in Nebraska with a series of reports.
