The
Cornhusker Marching Band presents a spectacle involving music, high
steps and showmanship executed with
precision movements and a meticulous style.
The
documentary "March of the Cornhuskers" takes an intimate look at one
of America's premier marching bands. The program captures the discipline,
dedication, frustration and the fun as students work hard to earn membership
in the "Pride of All Nebraska," endure hours of practice, and finally
perform before 77,000 Husker fans on game day.

The program
also features favorite Cornhusker fight songs recorded live at Memorial
Stadium and rare audio and video highlights of band performances. The
program and this site capture the enthusiasm of band members. "The first
time you put on the uniform and the first time you walk into that stadium
and the sound comes up, and that crowd comes up, every time it happens,
I still get goosebumps," says Jay Kloecker, director of UNL bands.
Our cameras
follow the last NU band of the century boasting a membership of 328
on its quest to be the very best.
