Bob Wills may not have invented Western swing, but he was the man most
responsible for popularizing this enduring style of country music. Bob
and His Texas Playboys experimented not only with jazz improvisations,
but also with instruments that are not associated with Country & Western.
With his trademark vocal punctuations, "Ahh-haa" and "Take it away, Leon,"
Bob's music was infectious, fun and innovative. Most importantly, it was
music to dance to. Now here's a collection that demonstrates why, when
it comes to Western swing, Bob Wills is the real king. "Take it away Bob!"
