Los Huracanes Del Norte

In celebration of the Mexican holiday Cinco De Mayo, the "corridos" or story songs of Hispanic supergroup Los Huracanes del Norte will be featured on "Backstage Pass".

With close to 20 releases in their discography, the members of Los Huracanes del Norte were taped in concert in April at Omaha's Sokol Auditorium, performing their norteña style of music. The Mexican band features Heraclio "Rocky" García on vocals and bass guitar, Jesús "Chuy" García on vocals and accordion, Francisco "Pancho" García on six-string bass, Guadalupe "Lupillo" García on sax, accordion and percussion, and Alejandro "Wico" Lopez on drums.

Songs performed during the hour-long program include "En Que Trabaja El Muchacho (La Escuadra)," "Dolares Falsos," "El 911," "El Lincoln Negro" and "La Cruz De Madera."
