In 2015, the Lundeen studio was commissioned to create several sculptures for Cloisters on the Platte, a religious and silent retreat center conceived by philanthropist Joe Ricketts and located on the Nebraska prairie. The H. Don and Connie J. Osborne Family Gallery will host the exhibit “Mapping Nebraska: From Nations to Statehood” from November 18, 2019 – December 19, 2019. This exhibit uses maps to illustrate the numerous political, cultural, and technological shifts that occurred in the Nebraska region during the 18th and 19th centuries. The maps offer a visual exploration of the varied histories, providing a snapshot of the impact these changes had on Native Nations, European settlers, and the natural landscape.

The undefeated 1954 Omaha University football team played in the ninth annual Tangerine Bowl on January 1, 1955. Lloyd Cardwell coached the team to a 7-6 victory over Eastern Kentucky State. The team was the first from the Midwest to play in this bowl. The Tangerine Bowl was subsequently renamed the Citrus Bowl.
