LINCOLN, Neb., (June 1st, 2018) LUX Center for the Arts presents “Silk Canvas: Digital Effects, Craft Techniques” by Chie Hitchner and “Wild Things: Nature and the Social Imagination” by Sandra Williams. These exhibitions will have an opening reception June, 1, 2018.

You will meet artists from our third annual art show and sale and enjoy music by a symphony harpist along with drinks and hors d’oeuvres. We have invited many of the Friends of the Trust and look forward to hosting everyone for a delightful evening of art, conversation and good company.
SAQA defines an art quilt as "a creative visual work that is layered and stitched or that references this form of stitched layered structure."
Founded in 1989 by an initial group of 50 artists, SAQA now has over 3,400 members: artists, teachers, collectors, gallery owners, museum curators and corporate sponsors. A dedicated core of volunteers and staff keep the organization vibrant, dynamic, and progressive.
