From 25 successful years as a hall of fame football coach to a political career and a quest to serve young people, Osborne has left an indelible legacy. Tom Osborne sits down with Kevin Kugler in this unique one-on-one interview shot in our NET Studio.

“I think that worrying about your legacy gets in the way of your legacy. If you’re doing things for your legacy, you may not be doing them for the right reasons. You live every day the best you can and do the best you can and as things are in sync, you let your legacy take care of itself” Osborne says during an interview that touched on the major milestones of his life. Many programs have been produced about Coach Osborne, however none have featured this type of intimate and personal interview.

This one-hour production from NET Television features candid remarks from the hall of fame coach. “I didn’t plan to ever be a coach”, Tom recalled. “I do know that athletics was certain a big part of my life as something that was important to me”.  The program will also highlight his personal thoughts regarding Lawrence Phillips to his time as Athletic Director at the University of Nebraska with the hiring of Bo Pelini and much more.

Tom Osborne: A Legacy Beyond the Game touches upon stories that will intrigue Nebraskans and give a deeper insight into the man that many remember strolling the sidelines during the fall.
