Thanksgiving Radio Specials

Music, storytelling and a live call in show are planned for Thanksgiving Day. Festivities begin on NET Radio at 9am CT with Every Good Thing, a music special featuring a range of performances from Jay Ungar's "Thanksgiving Waltz" and Aaron Copland's '"Simple Gifts" to Beethoven's "Symphony No. 6" and Dvorak's "Legend No. 5."

At 11 a.m. CT it's Lynne Rossetto Kasper and Francis Lamb (pictured below) from The Splendid Table in a live call in show Turkey Confidential. They will answer questions from listeners for two hours.

At 1:00 p.m.CT host John Birge combines great music and memorable sentiments in Giving Thanks. It's a contemporary celebration of the spirit of gratitude,  including a spellbinding story from actor Charles Laughton, giving thanks for art that connects us all to the creative spirit.
