For 50 years, Fred Rogers began each episode of Mister Rogers’ Neighborhood with the song "Won’t You Be My Neighbor?"  Now a new generation of children and families watch Daniel Tiger’s Neighborhood and know how good it feels to be neighborly as this children’s series teaches caring and gratefulness.

You’re never too young to offer a helping hand. Research shows that those who volunteer as youth and whose parents volunteer, become the most generous adults. Be My Neighbor Day is the perfect way to start little ones on the path to helping others!
