Major Giving

In our 60 years of service, NET has grown to be one of the most trusted and well-loved organizations in Nebraska. Through programs and services that celebrate all that is unique and special about this state, we inform, engage and inspire thousands of people every day. Your generosity helps purchase and produce inspiring, educational and informative content through Television, Radio and Online as well as hands-on ready to learn activities in communities across the state. Thank you for helping make all of this possible.

When your gifts total $1,200 or more annually, you become a member of the Jack G. McBride Society. The mission of the Jack G. McBride (JGM) Society is to bring members together for unique experiences that celebrate public media's commitment to tell our stories and preserve our heritage and culture. JGM Society members also serve as ambassadors for NET, encouraging others to join this effort to use the power of public media to provide knowledge and understanding.

The Jack G. McBride Society

From 1953 to 1996, NET General Manager Jack G. McBride guided the development of what is now known as NET Television and NET Radio. His efforts helped build NET into one of the nation’s premier public broadcasting organizations. To celebrate his pioneering contributions, NET has named its most generous donor society after him to continue his legacy.

Members of the JGM Society invest in NET so that its goal of reaching all citizens of Nebraska with programs that educate, entertain and inspire, regardless of ability to pay - can be achieved.

More than 24,000 people demonstrate their belief in NET with general membership contributions that make programming possible. But it is the generosity of JGM Society members that enables NET to go beyond the status quo and expand its vision of excellence so that cutting-edge media productions and innovative services become a reality.
