The Jack G. McBride Society
From 1953 to 1996, NET General Manager Jack G. McBride guided the development of what is now known as NET Television and NET Radio. His efforts helped build NET into one of the nation’s premier public broadcasting organizations.
Every great institution relies on a core of faithful financial supporters whose commitment far surpasses that of the casual supporter. The Jack G. McBride Society is that core at NET.
The JGM Society is a loyal group that believes that NET’s programs and services tell our stories and preserve our heritage and culture. JGM Society Members believe NET must be supported privately to achieve its goal of reaching out to all citizens of Nebraska – regardless of ability to pay – with programs that educate, entertain and inspire.
More than 24,000 people are demonstrating their belief in NET with general membership contributions that make programming possible. But it is the JGM Society that enables NET to go beyond the status quo and expand its vision of excellence by creating cutting-edge media productions and innovative ways of serving Nebraska.
