When Things Speak

There are over 250 museums in Nebraska, and they all tell a slightly different story about our history. "When Things Speak" is an occasional series that tells the backstories of some of the objects in Nebraska's museums.

This series started with pieces featured in the collaborative exhibit "Things Speak" at the Sheldon Museum of Art. "Things Speak" featured storied objects from the Sheldon Museum of Art, University of Nebraska State Museum, Pioneers Park Nature Center, Nebraska Capitol Collections, the National Museum of Roller Skating, Museum of American Speed Smith Collection, Lux Center for the Arts, Kruger Collection, International Quilt Study Center and Museum, Frank H. Woods Telephone Pioneer Museum, Great Plains Art Museum, American Historical Society of Germans from Russia.
