This summer, around a thousand troops from the Nebraska National Guard will be deployed overseas to Iraq and Afghanistan. To prepare for their deployment they were sent to Camp Guernsey in a remote area of eastern Wyoming where hundreds of square miles of rolling high plains were transformed to replicate the people, places, and scenarios they'll face. Mike Tobias of NET News followed a Nebraska combat unit through the training as part of a closer look at how soldiers are preparing for deployment. Grant Gerlock talks with Mike Tobias on NET Radio's Morning Edition.
