Army research in Iraq, Afghanistan: saving lives or endangering them?

The Army's Human Terrain System program is based in Leavenworth, Kansas, and includes training at the University of Nebraska at Omaha. Supporters say training people for social science research among Afghans and Iraqis helps American troops know their needs and reduces violence. Critics question whether the program is ethical or effective. Fred Knapp continues his two-part look at the program.
