In remembrance of the lives lost due to COVID-19, University of Nebraska Omaha will ring the carillon bells tomorrow, Oct. 10 at 10 a.m.

UNO Chancellor Dr. Jeffrey Gold hopes people will take a moment of silence to reflect during the 10 minutes of the bells ringing.

"It's an important way to not only recognize those that have been lost, but also to send an important message of vigilance, and care across our community, across the state, across the nation," Gold said.

UNO is participating in a nationwide “Time of Remembrance,” and one of the organizers is Lincoln native and retired nurse Kathleen Allan.

Nebraskans are invited to share their loved ones story here.
