Shut down since February because of the pandemic, the Hastings Community Theatre is back soon with an online comedy, "The Outrageous Adventures of Sheldon and Mrs. Levine."

The two person play performs on opposite sides of the stage and only actors and the director are allowed at rehearsals. Director Patrick Crawford said this is the first time they’ve ever done something like this.

"The artist in all of us would like to continue our work in some way, no matter what it is," Crawford said. "We're anxious to not only show something for our patrons, but do the work ourselves, because we miss it very much."

The comedy will be available for free online viewing between Oct.16th to the 21st. If the production is a success, more plays with ticketed purchases will be available. Live shows will start early next year.
