Two more staff members at the Nebraska Department of Correctional Services have tested positive for COVID-19, bringing the total to 22 cases.

One works at the Lincoln Correctional Center, and the other works at the Nebraska State Penitentiary in Lincoln

Last month NDCS started offering tests to every inmate. Of the 894 tested so far, eight are positive for COVID-19: one at the state penitentiary and seven at the Community Corrections Center in Omaha.

The department will re-open visitations next week, with strict rules like scheduling each visit, wearing a mask at all times, and no physical contact.
