The Omaha Summer Arts Festival will hold its first-ever virtual festival this Saturday, a live-streamed event that will feature craft and cooking tutorials, local musicians, and more throughout the day. Kylie Vonnahme, Operations and Marketing Manager for the festival, said though the pandemic caused the annual in-person event to be cancelled, organizers still wanted to find a way to hold it for the artists.

“The festival is here for everyone and we really want everyone to enjoy what we have to offer, and there will be a lot of things going on,” Vonnahme said.

She said the festival, which runs from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, will have new events created for the virtual format, such as a children’s coloring contest and a gift card giveaway to the artists’ shops. She said the live-streamed portions of the festival, plus opportunities to buy art, will be available on the festival’s website after the event.
