Lancaster County confirmed 16 new COVID-19 cases Monday.

Lincoln Mayor Leirion Gaylor Baird said over 200 people were tested at the drive through testing centers over the weekend, but there are still plenty of tests available.

"That’s only 53% of the total testing capacity that is being utilized at these sites over the last few days," Gaylor Baird said. "So, if you have symptoms of COVID-19, and again there’s an expanded list you can see at the CDC website, please take advantage of this expanded opportunity to get tested and help our community defeat this virus."

Gaylor Baird said city officials will evaluate five factors before loosening social distancing measures. They will look at testing, daily reported cases, positivity rates, strength of the healthcare system, and the ability for the health department to investigate contacts. She said face coverings are going to be important to limiting spread in the community.
