Governor Pete Ricketts announced Friday evening the entire state is now under mandatory health restrictions. The measure replaces the guidance that had previously made the measures voluntary, but stops short of the stay-at-home orders in other states.

Ricketts said statewide measure are in effect due to increasing reports of community spread across Nebraska: just yesterday evening, the Department of Health and Human services announced Gage County now has documented community spread. The area announced its first COVID-19 death Thursday.
